So. RP clubs anyone?
There are few RP websites, so if it's handled well, many could join just for the RP factor, and many people would prob wanna RP something about their "Afterlife" or something. And it could work something like this. You make a "club". It should never be in the chat/forum part, cause it could easily get messy. You pick tags for the club, like "Fantasy" "School" "Wolves" etc. Most of these ideas are from my childhood website KPwebben, which was famous among all swedish kids in 2008 for it's roleplaying faction.
The club could have a: -descprition: where you get backstory and more info about the RP. There could also be rules and tags here? -characters category: where you can get a look at everyone's characters. You join by filling out a form, either a standard or something created by the creator of the RP, which get sent to the creator or like mini mods within the RP, and they could either accept or reject you. -forum: like a mini forum, where there could be different categorys created by the users for different places in the RP (like "The Forest" or "School"), to keep it easy and clean for all involved, and partly to stop people from being unnecessarily omniscient. -"extra profile" or something for each member, so that you could also see their character name besides their username, also to keep it as easy and clean. -ooc chat: where people can discuss things with each other outside of the roleplay, so that they don't fill up the RP forums.
idk

All I know is that it succeeded on GSM but completely flopped on VP :/// but I feel like if it's handled well enough, as you say, it could work. I feel like Solitude may be the best person to review this (you're the only RP'er I know of because of World of Potter x3 - few more days and I can finally get into that !!)

The users here are from VP and VP had little to no roleplay.

I really loves the club thing on goSupermodel and I would love to have it here. In League of Legends (for the people who don't know: it's a moba game :3) there are clubs to where you can chat and you can join up to 5 clubs (which i personally don't like cause I want more) but you can choose one club and represent it having a club tag behind your username.
It's like this: fragolata <33' username tag
i think it would be pretty nice having something like that. there is a rule that you can have max 5 symbols in the tag ^-^

Random thought I had in the car today...
You know how vp was like, really picky about what designs make it into the shops? Well, I think every design should make it. Have standard prices and a standard store. And anything can be added. If it's not great, people won't buy it. But then artists won't feel bad, and there will always be new items to add. And you can have a special store for better quality and more expensive items.
Let the customers deside what they want.

I'd like that all of the pretty clothes were in the store (except dms) and it was more about saving up than hunting down good stuff

I think the shop would look kinda messy and unprofessional if you'd allow everyone to put their designs in there. I get the point of your idea tho, so maybe there could be a "junior designer shop" or something were everyone could upload their designs to and other players can buy them? So there would be two shops, the main shop and this junior designer store.

ahh, haven't seen your last sentence thought you just wanted everything to be put into one store, oops :s I think it deleted my reply in the last post. >.<' I thought your idea was brilliant! A jr designer shop sounds amazing. Like an amateur runway show or something. That would give people who want to try designing a chance to get items in a shop, and if people don't think they're good enough, they just wont buy them.

What I find most important in a game is that the game encourages you to do something. VP has a huge gap to fill when it comes to that. People are bored because there is nothing to do besides collecting items and forums. I have seen people suggest things like this before but there should be things like missions that keep people busy. It could be kinda like the achievements on VP but it shouldn't be so that an active member will be able to achieve all that within two weeks or so and it should keep renewing it so older players will have things to do too.
I think the new site should implement something like a focus group on gSm. When the focus group was first implemented on gSm it was basically all about ideas and opinions of the players and they tried to realise some of those ideas in the game or change/add stuff to the site. Actually this team could also report such stuff as bugs and (shop)updates that went wrong. Kinda like a costumer service team. Active players usually know what the site wants/needs and this way it would be easier to collect info. It might seem unnecessary or the job of the admins/moderators but I feel like it's not. What I have come to experience from both gSm and VP is that there are a bunch of things admins/mods don't see or don't know about. This does not mean regular players shouldn't come with ideas and bug reports, but I think it's much more easier for a staff to look for a problem at a certain place (the forums of this team) than look all around the site and have 100 messages about the same thing. You could say an ideas/bug forum section would do that work too but I generally feel like those are ignored and left unanswered.

Also, considering what's happening with the codes on vp, if we are to have giveaways or set prizes for competitions etc, idk if you remember how it was on gsm with the weekly Instagram giveaways, the items was sent as gift instead of ad codes.

You may or may not agree with me on this but I think the new sites needs to tone it down (compared to vp) when it comes to codes, especially exclusive codes. As much as these are fun for the ones that own it, it ruins the money system of the site and thats not something we need.

Got another idea perhaps mentioned before, kinda like the decors on gSm and the studio thing of VP in the beginning. The new site could have a feature called something like my afterlyfe. People could create their own afterlyfe whether this is based on the heaven/hell concept or reincarnation is up to them. In fact it can even be something worldly or something "empty". Maybe even something mythological (Greek, Egyptian etc)
It would be awesome if we could use this as a chatroom just like on gSm. However this would require loads of coding and shit and also furniture designing and I'm personally not sure if there are many people able/willing to design/code for that.
It is important to give people quite a big range of items to use if this will be used because everyone has a different view on the afterlyfe.
