so im trying to make/code a wardrobe
because of the way im making it, idk if we're gonna be able to use it later or have to remake it, but !! it's fun so why not
does anyone have opinions?
any ideas?
what categories should it have?
should it have sorting options? which ones?

If we're gonna have like "Backgrounds", could it please be sorted into "hair backgrounds", "jacket backgrounds", "other backgrounds"?
It's so frustrating to have to look through 10 pages to find one background (and check all the others first cause it's impossible to know which is which) and it doesn't help for the category to be cluttered with regular backgrounds either

I mean this is probably gonna mean a lot of pages but I'd appreciate it if the items were really visible like they were with these  and not so small like it is on VP. |

I would like the option to change from male to female without the cost of all of your female or male items disappearing
as well as it would be free or at a low[and affordable cost].
And have some better system of layering rather than VP's 5 item per category limit.

In gsm the clothes were just on the tabs like:
Face
Skin
Hair
Hat
Top
Bottom
Dress
Shoes
Glasses
Then hands and others, how ever specific we want to make them
There were no pages and you could just scroll down forever to find the clothes you had. I don't know if I remember right but there maybe was a possibility to rearrange the clothes too? And on the left there was a list of the clothes you were wearing, and you could click a specific piece of clothing and then slide it with a scroll to determine which clothes were under it and which were on top of it.

Okay I have to figure out how I'm going to explain this in English lol.
This is what I think would be very nice to have regarding the hairstyles:
1) go to the pages with the hairstyles
2) click on a haircut you'd like to wear
3) you are given the option to wear the background of the hairstyle as well
Pro: you don't have to make an extra page with hair backgrounds.
Con: you can't wear a background of a certain haircut behind a different haircut.

And, in my opinion, you should put left hand, right hand and others just all together. I don't think there's a need to put these items in separate categories, unless you'll remain the maximum of 5 for wearable items for each category.

An excellent idea, might be useful for every item that goes with a background. It sounds like it will be a lot of work for our coders though haha |

I would love categories maybe like,
Head
hair
accessories
faces/heads (for alternate heads)
Tops
shirts
outerwear (which can include vests, coats, capes, etc)
Dresses/fullbody (because vp has no place for bodysuits, swimwear, overalls, so it's in with dresses. fullbody would be a better thing to call it?)
Bottom
pants
skirts
other? (leggings, socks, whatever else?)
Feet
shoes
Maybe socks here?
Other
skins
makeup
jewelry
accessories (scarves, belts, etc)
hands (do they need to be separated by hand?)
miscellaneous
foreground (sun rays, magic, sparkles, things meant for in front that end up in background or other on vp)
background
Edit: maybe item backgrounds should also have a section? Like the background for hair or capes or whatever. So they aren't mixed in with true background items?

An excellent idea, might be useful for every item that goes with a background. It sounds like it will be a lot of work for our coders though haha I can also imagine it to be a lot of work, but it would be nice tho.  |

just gna throw this out there but i really like the layout of gaias wardrobe.. something similar might be nice?
ur avatar on one side, and then u click on the tabs and scroll thru whatever items are in it. obvs items would look bigger than they are on gaia
did that make sense? i can clarify things if i need to

Not enough categories is frustrating. When there isn't a proper category for something, so designers put it in other or background, or wherever and you have to hunt to find it. Or you aren't sure where your face tattoo is. Face? Makeup? Other? I'd much rather have too many categories and always be able to find something, than not enough categories and have to dig through everything to find certain items. |
