hey guys! the year of 2017 is coming to an end and with this, we have something exclusive to show you. for the past months i have been working hard on the home page, going back and forth because i was not completely happy with the look of it (and lots and lots of issues with the coding...) but! today i put last nail in the coffin and we have a somewhat finished product. however! we want to make sure that you all, as our community, feel that this is gonna be THE home page for afterlyfe online. if you feel like "hmm, maybe this would work better?", i really want to hear it so i can post an example of how that would look. that way, we can finally decide on the perfect layout for the home page. i have done a similar thing to this in the past, but this time i actually have a finished product that we can talk about. heres a screenshot of the entire page
another version/suggestion of the home page some added information: the friend activity is going to scroll (automatically), the achievements are going to scroll (manually). the pick-a-card is our "wheel of fortune" and will be much nicer in the future (this is just a placeholder), and all the BILLIONS of crash images are all placeholders for achievements and avi images. also, the news image/placement is a bit messed up because i resized it in cssalso, the currency names are not yet finalised and there is a drop-down menu that is not on display.another question: what do you want on the home-page?we have threads and friend-activity, but is there anything else you want outside of these things we have put on our versions? anything you feel is missing? let us know! |

could mayhaps the "home" "forum" etc either..have the font be a bit smaller, or have the....u know the......flik ..... be wider n a bit higher `
so its not as
Cramped ?

It looks very nice! I wouldn't necessarily put the achievements in the front page but in the profile behind another link. +1 vote for the Crash images to stay

I do like the second one better! Though I kinda prefer the first news' caption layout for some reason
the background I think needs to be adjusted a little bit? It's kinda awkward because of that abrupt stop if you know what I mean. Plus dunno why the dove is closer unlike the one on insta?

Plus dunno why the dove is closer unlike the one on insta? it's going to be different based on coding vs layouting in photoshop – but i see your point about the abrupt stop and have myself thought about it. i've talked to the team and we are gonna solve that somehow so it looks decent on all computers! |

voted 4 the 2nd one
it does look a lot better having the lines around the avatar be 1px (i assume) than the thicker lines
and like idk, the friends activity thing could be up there w the avatar like in th 1st pic; but also maybe that's too much ? but i don't think anyone will mind having to scroll a lil bit to get to the friend activities (depending on how big yheir screen is ) so it doesn't really matter either way
the .. flikar still kinda bother me idk ?? they're bigger in the 2nd which is nice, but the text inside still looks kinda cramped ? uu i don't know sorry ): but it's great still

the second one reminds me a lot of pirtual vopstar tbh.. i like the first one better cuz its more compact and u can see everything in one place rather than having to scroll down to see everything (although personally i would rather have the avatar in the far right corner than in the middle on the first example!)

what I like better regarding the second is the placement of the avatar
idk its just moe pleasing to the eye to have them at the edge and not in the middle of the page

here's the latest produced image of the home-page. there has been a few changes regarding size of header, navigation bar and of course – placeholders for both news and pick a card. these are all to make it more minimalistic and a little more modern. the header also shifted colour a bit, to make it more vibrant – because we had some issues with pairing colours and this works so much better. it's still the style of the second image, but a different. do you like it? is there anything you would change?we are going to be finalising pages the next year so we don't revisit them unless we absolutely need to, so this is your last chance to voice any concerns you have!
