hey! im gonna show some screenshots of how the threads could look like. i'd like to get your opinions on what could be improved and what looks good. if you feel like " hmm, maybe this would work better?", i really want to hear it so i can post an example of how that would look. that way, we can finally decide on the perfect layout for the threads. i've written some discussion points below. as i said, feel free to add any additional feedback; it would be much appreciated! 1. do you want a post-count? (like "user has posted 103 times in threads") 2. do you want level to be displayed? 3. do you prefer the avatar to be full-size, or smaller? would it be better to have just a headshot, and the ability to view the full avatar on hover? 4. do you like the placement of the different elements? 5. do you like the colors, or are they too bright? too boring? NEWEST UPDATE: VERSION 3
OLDER VERSIONS: VERSION 2VERSION 1

Maybe the avatar could look at the post instead of away? And i would also like to see an example just with head shot, then posts could get small = less scrolling?
And i would like to change pages in the bottom too

mmm idk, the circles looks kinda unfamiliar, its probably just that Im not used to them but tbh maybe a square would lookt best? just a headshot instead of the whole avi would certainly get rid of problems like the avatar getting really tiny if the background is super big (which never fails to annoy me)

I really think the avatars should be whole. The circles look very neat and modern but it kind of lessens the whole idea of dress-up and outfits if people can't see them at first look. I mean, sure it can pop up when you hover your mouse over it but I don't think I would do that too often and neither would other people other than in "judge x's outfit" threads. Might just be me.
It would be a great way to prank people with your outfit though like make your top look cool but then the bottom is naked or something lol Ok im out

I do like the 2nd one better, I think hovering on the avatar to show the full outfit would be a great idea + having the infos under the avatar is a nice way to give just a snippet of your information
While the 1st one I think will have a cropping problem when avatars have full backgrounds, either the thumbnail getting smaller/a sudden crop since it's only 330px high

1. Yes to post-count 3. A headshot of the avatar in forums would be nice, with the ability to hover over the picture and view the whole outfit. With this hover-ability, you could include an overview of general information like level, pronouns and status (instead of displaying it like in the example). It would be nice to have a clean but interesting and creative display of the headshot. A circle works, but at the same time it seems a bit harsh. Maybe it would work better with a softer outline? 4. I like the colors, don't make them brighter please x) Wouldn't hurt to even make them a bit softer, actually
+ How about including; "member since", either displaying when posting, or together with the other things when hovering over the headshot as I described?

1. do you want a post-count? (like "user has posted 103 times in threads") no, i think that would be very unnecessary 2. do you want level to be displayed? yesss 3. do you prefer the avatar to be full-size, or smaller? would it be better to have just a headshot, and the ability to view the full avatar on hover? head-shot would be cute 4. do you like the placement of the different elements? YES 5. do you like the colors, or are they too bright? too boring? maybe a different background color for the avatar, grey is like the most boring color EVER
i really love how it looks so far. i feel like the head-shot is fresh, gsm and vp both didnt have that. i also saw ''pronouns'' listed, absolutely fucking love that.

i'd prefer either headshots or full-sized avatars ,, idk mb its just cus im not used to the small ones
i lov everything else just one note , mb we could do like symbols for post count and level instead of text ? like flight rising does w their star system to show how many posts someone has made
could be nicer visually

I agree with the 2nd/headshot ver of the avatar looking the cleanest/most "well designed" in a way, but I also agree with ERC's point about this being a dressup game where you'd want people to see your whole outfit immediately... Between the big or small sized avatars I guess it all comes down to easy scrolling/forum accessibility vs aesthetic/showing off the details of the artwork put into making/dressing up the avatars and designing.

1. I think it could be nice with either this and/or a "member since" slot, but I don't feel like either is completely necessary - it can possibly be a nice way to both encourage forum activity and helping us discern new users and/or possible trolls and letting us alter our response to them as needed. 2. Yes! 3. *see previous confused reply* 4. Yes, although it can be hard to really say without using it in practice 5. I like the colors! I feel like they are more mature/modern kinda aesthetic than you usually see in these kinda games. Also I like the grey background for the avatar, as I feel like grey is what compliments most outfits in all kinds of different colors, while an "actual color" would affect them more, and a white or black would potentially blend too much with black/white clothing and hair (which is a lot more common than grey clothing (?))

1. I like the idea of a post count 2. Yes 3. I like the headshot and hover example, but I'm not sure about it being circular, I'd like to see one where the headshot is square instead 4. yes, the only thing I can think of ATM is that an offline/online button or switch should be by the username 5. I adore the colours

1. do you want a post-count? I'm pro this, if only because you can sniff out troll accounts faster with this. I'd love it if posts had positive rewards though, like free items! 2. do you want level to be displayed? yes, bot not strictly necessairy 3. do you prefer the avatar to be full-size, or smaller? would it be better to have just a headshot, and the ability to view the full avatar on hover? full-size and fully visible, i love looking at outfits. If this isn't possible, I'd prefer a full scale avatar head shot over a small fully visible one. I don't really like the way the avatar looks in version 3, it's too small! I think version 2 (avatar wise) with hover option (where you hover over and it shows you the avatar fully) is the best! 4. do you like the placement of the different elements? see above anwser 5. do you like the colors, or are they too bright? too boring? they're a bit bland to be honest... Maybe saturate more? the header is very beautifully drawn but the background colour of the painting is also a bit bland... This only adds to the blandness
Great work though, looking forward to this!

1. do you want a post-count? No, it will cause unnessecary scrolling 2. do you want level to be displayed? No, same reason as above 3. do you prefer the avatar to be full-size, or smaller? I like the full sized one better, but I agree that it should face the post instead of away from it. 4. do you like the placement of the different elements? Yes 5. do you like the colors? The grey avatar background is a bit boring and doesn't fit with the other colours imo, but I'm not sure what colour could be used without it potantially clashing with a outfit. Otherwise I dig it
