Idk if anyone would be interested in them but i was thinking we could have a thread section for triggering topics, and another section for personal threads Triggering one just so that nobody will stumble upon something they dont wanna see, so its all easily avoided, and it would mean people wont be constantly reminded to add tw to their title
Personal threads one just bc i think it wold clean shit up cus ngl i get annoyed seeing personal threads taking up room on vp. Ofc a personal thread section wont be necessary if nobody makes any here but i recon people will :-)) Idk just some ideas ok

On one hand I can understand having a section for triggering stuff, but on the other hand I feel like it slightly encourages people to post about it more and makes it more available - which can do more damage than good. It could easily turn into glorification of unhealthy behaviours and thought patterns, and it would be a goldmine for someone looking to intentionally trigger themselves.

We cant really do anything to person who intentionally wants to trigger themselves. It's their choice and they are responsible for triggering themselves.

Yes of course, but (in my opinion) having a whole section just for triggering stuff feels a bit like enabling it and making it easier for them (kindof like the emo and proana tumblr communities - they choose it themselves, but to have a community/place just dedicated to it makes it a lot easier to access). If someone wants to post something triggering, for example about drugs, it could rather be redirected to an NSFW/18+ section or a Help/Advice section. Some place that isn't just dedicated to triggering subjects.

Also, I did suggest having a category for personal threads, so I def agree with that

Would it be possible to keep it so that new section ideas can be added easily? On VP, Jess said one had to be replaced cause they couldn't make a new section - which is the dumbest thing ever. I think it'd be beneficial to be able to add new sections whenever we feel a new one is required as the site develops and grows

a category for personal threads is a good idea, but i don't think it would be necessary if we implement a blog (like on gsm where every user would have their own blog they could post whatever they felt like in. some used it as a diary, others used it as a notebook and so on). i've seen it suggested in different forums here several times, so it seems like it's something people want. i think that would be a good replacement for personal threads
